Last December, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, along with his family and friends, visited Kyoto and participated in our sushi-making experience at Sushi Lab.

The experience begins at Nishiki Market, Kyoto's kitchen. Together with skilled fishmongers, you'll personally select the freshest fish of the day. We've gathered the finest ingredients, from luxury items like large oysters and rich sea urchin to classics like fatty tuna and yellowtail.

Back at the kitchen, it was finally time to put their skills into practice. They challenged themselves to make a variety of sushi, from "nigiri sushi," which is carefully and lovingly made piece by piece, to colorful "maki sushi" and "gunkan roll sushi," and fragrant "shiso maki" (perilla leaf rolls).

You can have the entire studio to yourself, starting with two people (you can also use it alone by paying the price for two).

This is a homey yet authentic sushi experience, where a dedicated sushi instructor prepares your sushi right in front of you.
